This Husband of Mine

Today Taddy is 28, and I love him 28 times more than usual.

Here are some things you should know about my other half.
  • He loves Sour Patch Kids, and can eat a whole bag in one sitting.
  • He could live off of pizza, and being the bad wife I am, I practically let him.
  • He is pretty afraid of heights.
  • No matter what you bet him, or beg him with, he will not eat something he doesn't want to.
  • He has the cutest cleft lip scar.
  • He and his friend Gavin cruised Movies 8 naked their senior year. No joke.
  • Tadd is a +2 handicap in golf. Two words for ya, boo-yah.
  • He has a weakness for WWF on TV.
  • He secretly enjoys smutty gossip magazines as much as I do.
  • Tadd is one of the most accident prone people I know. Already sliced two fingers with his birthday present (more to come later...)
  • He secretly wants to be in the Military.
  • He has terrible gas most of the time, sooo endearing, right?
  • Tadd loves his 7's, and looks so fetchin' cute in them.
  • He is 6'3, but doesn't know it.
  • Tadd bashes my TV shows, but gets into them with me.
  • He has never been afraid to wear any color, any shade.
  • I'm his Kitty and he's my Puppy. (We're s-t-r-a-n-g-e)
  • Tadd pulls off a bald head better than any one I know (sorry Peter and Pete).
  • He hates reading, but couldn't get enough of gospel literature on his mission.
  • He could watch Man on Fire over and over again.
  • He showers at least twice a day.
  • He holds the course record at Davis Park Golf Course. 61.
  • He dedicated hours and hours to our apartment by painting, hanging and cleaning.
  • I have vacuumed only twice since we've been married, don't think it doesn't get done though.
  • Tadd loves to sleep more than he loves me.
  • If there is Chicken Fettucine Alfredo on the menu, you bet Tadd will order it.
  • Tadd throws up once a week on average. I really wish he'd get to a doctor and fix it.
  • He has great legs.
  • He amazes me with his athletic abilities. He play any sport without looking awkward! A feat I will never master
  • We both use the same five step face wash system every night.

Do you want me to continue, or are you over this? I could go on, but it's time to cuddle.

Happy birthday to my puppy! Love you!

VILE!

When I first got my phone, I treated it to a beautiful, shiny, clear Invisible Shield. I'm sure you've seen the kiosks in the mall. Usually run and operated by skinny jeaned, etnie-wearing, shaggy headed boys.

I figured it's been a year since I got my Blackberry, so it was probably due for a new shield. I'm extremely depressed to find out that I am a filthy, dirty girl. Exhibit A (see below):

Keep in mind, some of the pieces of the shield are stacked on each other, making them look darker.

I'm trying to convince myself that a large percentage of this filth is actually stained hair color. Crossing my fingers, really. That's sick.

You can be sure I'll be replacing my shield every few months now!

Thank you Emo boy for not spitting in my direction after viewing this display of disgust.

Happy 16th Bizzle Rizzle Bootsie!

Happy birthday to my littlest sister! Isn't she a catch!?

Poor Lo has had to put up with five snotty older sisters all her life, and she's turned out better than all of us combined! How in heck does that happen!?

Here's how...she's such a sweet, caring girl. She's very active in her ward, and makes friends like no bodies business! I guess it's those friends of hers that have told her time and time again to stop listening to what her bratty sisters say. Thanks to you girls!

I love you tons Lo, and am so impressed at what a beautiful young woman you have become. And don't be surprised if I act like an older brother in how I treat your dates. They will definitely be interrogated by me! I have no doubt you're too good for any of them!

I hope you have a spank-tastic birthday!

The Uglies written by Scott Westerfeld

Have you ever read this book? Well I'd like to introduce to you the two main characters of this novel:

It's been said that this expression hurt this Uglies face (on the left).

Wow, I really just posted those on the world wide web. Yup, that just happened.

Movies TBS*

I've decided to be more committed to seeing movies in the theatre. I see trailers, and want to see new flicks...but never do! I am publicly committing to seeing the following movies in a theatre!
  • Dark Knight (duh)
  • Swing Vote
  • SOTP 2 (I can't wait for this one!)
  • Fly Me to the Moon
  • Henry Poole is Here
  • The House Bunny

And those are just summer movies!

In other movie news...I recently saw Journey to the Center of the Earth - not my choice. I wasn't terribly unimpressed, however. The 3D aspect was entertaining. Poor Brendan Fraizer though...not an acting bone in his body.

I saw Mamma Mia today! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Lauged a lot, cried a bit. I will absolutely own this one, and I've already purchased the soundtrack. Brings back memories of seeing it on Broadway in New York!

I was so impressed with these actor's voices, especially Amanda Syefried (loved her in V. Mars), and wondered outloud with Celina how they managed to get those three grown men to do that movie. Loved it though! I highly recommend it!

We also wondered what happened to the days of singing and dancing in public in expression of emotions. Or...did those days ever even exist?

*to be seen - der

Team Ball!

The day we arrived in California Jack immediately informed us that his mom had bought him a blue ball!
He also told us in a very reverent voice, "I love that ball". Funny kid.
Jack was constantly recruiting us to play Team Ball. The object of this game is to kick (preferably drop kick), and throw the ball at each other. Novel idea, Jacky boy.

Arts n' Crafts

On Friday Mallory and Wacko sat down for a good hour or so and painted! Lo and I joined in a bit, but not as seriously as these two!

I doubt I could love this boy any more than I already do.

And here is the extent of my creativity

Mal was so into it, and really encouraged Wacko to be very creative. Of course she did, she's the definition of creative, and I envy her.

Just a few of my favorite pics from that day

I'm Home

...and I already miss staring at this gem for hours.
Check out that slight glimpse of his dimple. He rocks.
More pictures of the trip to come...

Be so jealous.

Memorandum

I saw this on Mikel's blog and thought I could use a little walk down Memory Lane!

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

I can't wait to see what people remember!

Dilemma

Remember forever ago when I desperately wanted a third column? Now I'm wondering if it's too cluttered!
Help.

Love All!

I ventured out of my comfort zone last month and signed up for tennis lessons with my in-laws! Caitlyn playing a sport, you say? Yes, it was as unbelievable and awkward as you think.

I figured another session couldn't hurt, so I'm signed for July as well! Along with a few friendly recruits of mine...

Showing off my forehand skills. Don't knock the non-tennis sweet Vans I'm wearing.

Our class minus my MIL Camme who missed picture day! She was at home sick with a sore throat.
No, I'm not pregnant, although I certainly look it.

Our awesome instructors Kenny and Jeremy!

No hard feelings, right Kenny?

Shay and Kenny playing the geee-tar

Just playing some doubles, our own style!

So intense!

Our non-family tennis buddies, Rebecca and Stacey!
Watch out for Stacey's mean serve!

Kenny and Kass. Tennis class misses these two!

Ahh, our true colors.

Thanks for inviting me to take tennis with you girls, it was a blast! I can't wait for my first Wimbledon Tournament!

**Stay tuned for pictures of session two of tennis lessons!**

"There is one boy I miss, Alfalfa...

...he makes my heart melt like a popsicle on the fourth of July."

My all time favorite holiday! Although I may prefer to lay out in the sun, or sleep in a bit on this holiday rather than attending the parade (been there, done that), or watching the balloons, it is still my favorite.

This particular year was pretty chill, but the fun began on the 3rd of July.

Thursday: Department party at Mt. Timpanogas Park in the Canyon, complete with a BBQ and Slip n' Slide Kickball. I also learned a valuable lesson at this party. I am not as strong and spry as I once was. A word to the wise: never attempt a round-off backhand spring after tucking away that little talent for roughly ten years. You will land on your head.

Friday: Slept in despite the cannons, jets and continous music of the parade. Laid out at the in-laws pool, and played Queen of the Floatie with my nieces. Imagine a 22 year old throwing little children off the floatie so as to remain the Queen. That's exactly how it went. I was surprised to learn that Madi is pretty strong, and was able to flip me over a few times. We had a grand ol' time!

Friday night: BBQ with Tadd's extended family at his parents. Babysat Bree while the family went to the Stadium of Fire. We aren't really SOF goers, so we didn't feel too badly about "missing out". We had a great view of the fireworks from my in-laws anyway! I kept telling Tadd, "we are sooo boring", but in actuality I wouldn't have wanted to sit through a concert of sorts just for something to do. We did exactly what we wanted to.

Adrie, Kyra and Ellie. Ellie insisted on being on my team for Queen of the Floatie, after she saw how I dominated the pool.

Little Bree bug! She wasn't very happy after everyone left. I had the pleasure of experiencing baby poop on my clothes for the very first time. Don't worry Bree, I won't hold it against you. I still love you to pieces!

Tadd and Bree

Waiving good-bye to everyone as they left for the SOF.

Little Ava is pretty hilarious. AND, she can say my name!

Waiting for the fireworks to start...

Tadd's family left a bunch of cans of those glowy things, and we played with them like little kids. I even got a little upset when I learned that Tadd gave some to the little kids at the end of the cul-de-sac. I'm such a brat.

I made a loose noose. I'm a poet!

Thank you dear USA for having a birthday we can celebrate. Oh, and thanks for making us free!

Treasure

How could I forget this little gem?

Faves

It's Sunday, and I'm bored so I felt like posting some pictures of my besties. Sadly, on our most recent outings neither Tiana or Jessie could join us. We love you girls!

Four of us in I-da-ho.

Alison, that's some major popage!

At the O.G before some awesomeness food. Try the Grilled Shrimp Caprese next time you're there.

Obnoxious girl behind us who felt it necessary to interrupt the Brazilians dinner across the aisle from them. Who just makes small talk over dinner with another table!?

My precious Ali. She's really quite crazy. That must be a bread stick Mary is holding up to block
Ali.

That was a painfully boring post. I hope to entertain a little better in future posts.

I've Fallen in Love

Did you get the most recent Anthropologie catalog?

I did, and instantly fell in love with every single article of clothing, save a pair or two of shoes. I would love to look as if I stepped right out of one of those glorious pages. I long for ethereal style while I gaze at Anthro's pages. I would say that their clothing is overpriced, but in all actuality, I would pay an arm and a leg for their perfect outfit.
I am in re-love with Twilight. I began the series again last Saturday. Re-love.

Why can't this be me RIGHT NOW?

The Marryin' Kind

June 21st was our three year anniversary. Amazing how time flies. The last three years have been challenging, and yet very rewarding. They have been the best years of my life, and at times the worst. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband more than anything, and would do anything for him!

He is my best friend, my biggest fan (and I, his), and my eternal buddy. There is no one I would rather spend time with, especially when we're being our annoying, goofy selves.

To celebrate our matrimony of three years, my daddy got us the Nu Skin cabin the weekend of our anniversary. On Friday we invited my parents and Lauren up for a fire and dinner. If you know Tadd, you know how much he loves fires! We had a grand old time eating charred hot dogs, and s'mores. I hardly enjoy another treat more than a blazing marshmallow.

Oh Tadd, you are so pretty!

Here is Tadd meticulously roasting his hot dog. Slowly rotating the skewer is apparently the way to do it. I prefer sticking it directly into the flame until it's on fire.

Of course Gus also attended.

After dinner, we watched Disturbia! All of us for the first time, except for Lauren. She'd forgotten most of it, and couldn't remember when to tell me to shut my eyes! I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and left the damned thing up at the cabin. Awesome.

Saturday was the 21st, our anniversary, and we celebrated by sleeping in until 2:30. That's right folks, 2:30 PM! It was glorious. We spent the rest of the day at the Park City Outlets, where Tadd purchased himself a plethera of golf polos at the Polo outlet, and I, some sandals.

We then ate at Main Street Pizza and Noodle on Main Street, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places. Afterward, we headed back to the cabin for a quiet evening, but not before stopping at the Sundance General Store for suckers!

We really enjoyed a relaxing weekend, and can't wait for what the next year of marriage may bring!

I love you Taddow!

Saturday Evening

I wouldn't really consider this Saturday any sort of "weekend day", or whatever else the world calls it. Actually, I don't really know what a Saturday truly is anymore.

I realize that's pretty much my fault. I chose Cosmetology as a career (side career, for now), and I do realize that the busiest day for Cosmetologists is Saturday, and I super duper love it. Don't believe me? ..... Well, I don't have any answer for you, you're just dumb.

This particular Saturday has been spent at RC from 9:30 - 5ish (I'm SO sorry your hair took over 3 hours, Darise!), a quick dinner at my in-laws, and then straight to the Nu Skin Call Center to offer my mad Nu Skin skills to the Sales Support department. My shift...6:00 to Midnight. Yes, I volunteered. Who doesn't love overtime?

I have now been here for 3 hours, and I've been asked four questions. None of which another sales agent couldn't answer. So here I sit blogging and facebooking (I'm sooooo social); online shopping (not buying, Tadd); and silently jamming to random artists on my pod (cool way to say iPod) such as Coldplay, Adele and Missy Higgins.
*
On another note, I almost bought this swimsuit below from Lime Ricki. Cute, eh? The bottoms cut off the circulation in my legs though, even at a size bigger than I normally wear. I love the top though...anything to make my ta-ta's appear smaller!

I did buy this suit below, however, and it's super cute. I also got another one from Lime Ricki thats not on their site, love the style though. I would just like to publicly thank you modest-swimwear creators out there, you rock. Not that I don't like a good bikini here and there, but when I want the perfect tankini, I can always count on you!

Here's to a night with no end...

Do You Envy Me?

Yes, yes you do.
We get to baby sit this little girlie July 4th. Tadd's whole family is going to the Stadium of Fire, which we opted out of, and Bree's parents (Kris and Kecia) don't think she'll dig the fireworks and such, so we get to watch her! By "we" I mean me because I will hog her all night long!

I just love, love, love her and I'm super excited to babysit her!

Lonely

I've caught the tennis itch. Sadly, I am in dire need of some tennis practice time. But, I can't play alone, someone please come play with me. I ain't got no friends...

(I'm hearing this chant in my head: ...say ain't five times and you ain't goin' to heaven, no ya ain't...)

Self Tag

It's 12:03 a.m. and I haven't started nodding off yet, so on I blog!

FAVORITE PAIR OF SHOES- Depends on the season of course! Winter/Fall: prolly my Banana Republic cowboyish boots I found on Ebay for like $80. Spring/Summer: Currently my sweet find from Forever 21, strappy white sandals with a teeny wedge.

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION- I guess I'm a little late on this tag. Um, my resolution is to stop eating 100 calorie packs of Kettle Corn Popcorn at 12:07 in the morning.

WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW- Dina Lohan chastising Cody.

IF YOU HAD $200 TO SPEND ON YOURSELF WHAT WOULD IT BE- Jeans, and maybe perfume if any money is left over. I smell.

RANDOM THOUGHT- My pants are getting too tight. Arrowhead water is the only bottled water any one should ever drink. Reality TV is a waste of e-v-e-r-y b-o-d-i-e-s time. I'm excited Mama Mia will be a movie this summer!

FAVORITE PLACE TO GO IN THE CITY YOU LIVE IN- Super lame, but I love my bed. And the pool.

THE BOOK YOU ARE READING - I pretended to read The Uglies, but got uber bored. Just the Scripies for now.

I'm tagging everyone whose name begins with a letter.

D-D-D-Dress up!

Ta Da! Our efforts in cheering up MK...

Prepped for the paparrazi

yo HO yo HO, a pirate's life for me!

Whoa, I'm such a ski bum!

Ali's salon slogan. Makes you want to go to her, huh?

Heading out to Camp Shilom, I won't even tell you what's in the Camelback...

I told you I would deliver, and deliver I did...

Sidenote: I'm super sick of the vampire looking lady on the Vonage commercial. Does she really think those sideburns count as her frontal hair section? And P.S - doesn't she know dial up isn't the way to go anymore? Der.
