Disclaimer: I am moving to Las Vegas the first week of August, so all appointments must be scheduled either before July 31st, or September 7th or 8th (when I will be back in town), or Oct 12-15th (back in town, again). Is this getting too complicated?

Let the games begin!

What Happens in Vegas...

With our move to Las Vegas around the corner, Tadd and I decided to take to a trip down there for our anniversary since we needed to find an apartment anyway.

Few highlights from the trip:

Staying at the MGM Signature Condo
Creme Brulee
Dinner at Yard House, twice
The Proposal with Jessie and Erica
Valet Parking
Time alone with Tadd
Swimming with pool side service
H&M
Finding an apartment!

I took a total of two pictures...

Driving home

All the beer kegs in the Yard House
Clearly, I always capture what is most important!

My Day as a Mom

These days, I have to buy my nephew's affection. Kids these days...
Luckily, I love this kid and I was glad to spend a day with him!

Jack and I met my friend, Tianne, and her son at the park for some Jack-Carsyn bonding.
The two boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and Jack loved getting a Happy Meal at McDonalds. His mom, you may know her...Rookie-Cookie, makes him fancy things like flank steak and edamame hummus.

Then we headed to the theater to see Up in 3D. Such a cute movie!

Creepy thing happened while we were there...the movie had been playing for about 10 minutes when they paused it, turned the lights on, and a few cops came in to search the theater for some guy, who happened to be hiding out near the back all alone. They escorted him out, and luckily he left without an argument. CREEPY!

Then Jack and I headed to Terra Mia for some gelato! That boy likes chocolate, and wow...gelato is sticky stuff!
The next week Jack and I went to 7 Peaks, and had such a great time!
Whit - I promise I sunblocked Jack multiple times, I'm so sorry about his sunburn!
I'm really going to miss this boy when we move away! :(

"To the Windows...to the Walls!..."

A few weeks ago (real time blogging is SO overrated) I headed up to Hobble Creek canyon with some friends for camping! My idea of camping isn't actually staying out overnight. As long as I have the scent of campfire in my hair, I've camped.

Morgan and I drove up in my car, planning to follow the trucks up to our campsite, until I heard the horrific sound of scraping and grinding under my car. We nixxed that plan asap, and jumped into Celina's truck. A whole hour and a half later, and we were settled at one of the 75 campsites we tried to stop at.

I thoroughly enjoyed my night of roasting marshmallows, chasing a blown away tent, good friends, treats and quad riding. Unfortunately, Tadd was at a golf tournament until late, or I would've enjoyed him too!

Celina driving a million miles to our campsite

Bree, her friend Brady and Morgan.

It was a little cold and a lot windy!

Celina, Ashley, Morgan and me. Where's Kristen!?

Joe and Sarah with Ashley and Ryan's dog, Moose.

Morgan rode down the mountain with me to my car at the end of the night. I'm not all that experienced in driving a quad, so thank goodness we made it!

...Born on the 4th of July!

I love the 4th of July. Love it.

This year's festivities did not disappoint, and truly, they never do!

Lunchtime was spent at my parent's house with lots of watermelon, which is good enough of a meal for me. Unfortunately, Tadd had to work until close. Stupid golf course...

Jack also performed a Rock Show for us, and did some tricks on the trampoline. That kid is one heck of a performer.

After a quick visit to see Celina (I miss her!) I headed up to Provo for the Cox Family Cul-De-Sac of Fire!

Tadd was able to close up the golf course a little early, and joined us as soon as he could.

Tadd and the dudes throwing snaps. Griffin thought the snaps might be fun to eat...

Shaley and her boyfriend, Roman. We sure like this guy!

I sure love this guy!

Aunt Lacey and Crew-Man!

The family getting ready for the fireworks!

Whitney, Ethan, their boys, Haley and Jon also joined us!

Van loved that cotton candy!

Little Aves with her sparkler

Crewsie and me. He can finally say my name and it's the cutest thing.

All the Cox girls! We look so festive!

The Leishman family in their sweet tie-dye shirts! I love this idea for 4th of July attire.

Just the little Van boy, who I love to pieces!

Tadd and Chris in their "element".

I love these shots of the fireworks.

Heading to the edge of Grandview Hill in the back of Chris' truck.

Whethan and the boys had the same idea!

I LOVE the 4th!

I think Tadd is going to fall apart when we leave all these neices and nephews behind. Let's not even talk about what a wreck I'm going to be. We love our families!

Think Pink!

With Haley's first on the way, a shower was definitely in order, so the sisters got to work organizing a shower just for Addison Hall, and the MTB (mom-to-be).

My MIL, Camme, was so great and housed the shower after a little snafu on my part (something about forgetting to sign the paperwork for the library, I forget all the details...).

Whitney was all over the food, making sure the guests were well fed, while I took on the activity. We don't do games. They are just silly, but Whitney had the fantastic idea of making bows and headbands for the baby! (I told Tadd the plan was to make bows and headbands and he asked, "for who?" Men.)

Haley with some high school girlfriends: Chaliese, Tiffany and Jana

The table with bow making fixings.

Family and friends hard at work!

Ava with Penny Stott. Ava definitely needs her mommy to have another baby!

Same girls with Lindey...maybe she'll be the next one pregnant!

Tiffany's gift to Haley, courtesy of her sister's business, Kid Design.

Diaper cake from Marie with some onesies from England!

The only pink thing Jana has ever bought!

Name sign from one of Haley's crafty Aunts!
All in all, I'd say it was a pretty successful shower! We can't wait for Addison to arrive!

Vanditta!

This little boy of mine (ok, Whitney's) had his first birthday June 12th!

We celebrated his birthday a few days later, since he was traveling the west coast on his actual birthday.

Whit made the cutest little cake, which he, of course, got his own big piece of to go crazy with. He didn't quite get it for the first while until we started shoving frosting in his mouth.

The Elk Ridge Law Enforcement was even present to be sure we didn't get out of hand.

And what a happy birthday it was!

We also had the pleasure of seeing our favorite cowboy perform "Black Cat" by Janet Jackson.
Happy Birthday Baba-Van!
