Sober @ Spark

Few weeks ago (I'm not a real time blogger, ok?) I headed out for drinks after work with the girls. Don't worry Mom, these drinks are non-alcoholic at Sp^rk!

We like to pretend we're heading out for Happy Hour to clear our corporate-heads and let loose.

Mango something-or-other. Highly recommended by yours truly.

Dry Soda, not recommended.

Sarah, Kristen, Myself, Bree, Celina, Emmie, Lisa? (correct me if I'm wrong Celly)

Tell me, what wouldn't you do for those cheek bones!
(No, not mine. Those are implants.)

You don't seriously think that when the boys in the office head to the State High School Basketball game that us girls would just sit aroujnd the office and WORK? Don't be ridiculous. Up to Cheesecake Factory we went!

Funk...

I am in a blog FUNK. Don't want to post, nothing to post, dread looking at my blog...and I can't figure out how to snap out of it.

I thought maybe if I confessed publicly on my self-loathing blog it would clear the air.

Blog Desire, please come back to me.

Incredible

The moment you've all been waiting for...professional, stunning photos of the new Mr. and Mrs. Johnson!

Four Years Ago Yesterday...

Night of engagement, and first kiss in front of parents
...My sweetheart knelt on one knee (two would be considered begging), opened a black box revealing a gorgeous picked-by-him-ring, and asked me to be his forever.
How lucky am I.

New Jo's

Feb 24th 2009 marks a memorable day in the Peterson and Johnson family - Nick and Mallory committed them selves to each other for time and all eternity!

Emerging as husband and wife!

The perfect portrayal of love!

Another pristine portrayal of looooooooooove.

Well gosh, ANOTHER! Aren't they so perf!

Dad and girls, minus the newest Mrs.

My five best friends, how I love each and every one of them!

I've Been Waiting For So Long...

My new favorite BIL, Chris, treated the girls to Celine Dion tickets Christmas of 2007! We finally made it, or rather SHE finally made it to her own concert in February. This was definitely the experience of a lifetime!

Look how happy we are!
I have a new girl crush. And it's strong.
THANK YOU CHRIS! And thank you Tysen for marrying him!
(And thank you Tadd for marrying me, so I could go see Celine Dion!)

All in a Day's Ride

Two weeks ago, I attended a recognition trip for Nu Skin, which included a half day of snowmobiling...naturally, I had to ensure that my executives were safe on the summit!

Awaiting my first time snowmobiling! If you're wondering if I was one of the first to crash, the answer is yes. No worries, it just so happens that four feet of snow acts like a giant cushion.
Jeff, Kristen, myself, Scott and Ryan. I sure impressed the dudes with my daring antics. Scaling jumps, riding unchartered trails, etc. Yeah, I'm bad ass.

Day Dos

Splendid day: spent some time in fantastic Bellevue, Corbin is oh-so-jealous. Ate at Daniel's on the 21st floor of the Hyatt, delicious steak (I didn't ask for A1, first time in 23 years).

Kristen and I with Yolanda, a lady I have the pleasure of working with in my new role.
View of Bellevue from Daniel's. Seattle skyline straight ahead.
If I didn't have the short term memory of an 80 year old I could tell you what this harbor is called...pretty though, huh?

It's really unfortunate, but this is how I look in heavy traffic. Heading to Olive Garden for a recognition dinner for our bracelet-gifting-distributor-friend, the main purpose Kristen and I came out to Seattle (the dinner, not the receipt of said bracelets).

Lisa, our shining star (or shining Diamond, I should say) and her husband Tom. We LOVE them. Lisa has a heart of gold, and Tom is painfully funny. Is it bad to have a crush on him?

Another favorite distributor, Sue! I shall never forget the conversation we had about where her laser hair removal specialist has had to laser on the job. I think I piddled a little...

Just so happens Five for Fighting was at our hotel when we got back, or some band that so badly wanted to sound like them anyway.

Smashing day, quite splendid indeed.
*I miss Edward*

Seattle Day Uno

Day one - come and gone. Kristen and I flew in at noon, and had made it to Nordstrom Rack by 2 p.m. Now that's dedication.

Post shopping, we de-plane-ed ourselves and headed to Tacoma for a distributor meeting where Kristen gave a fabulous presentation and showed me the ropes, so I can attend the next meeting by myself!
Problem: am I even old enough to rent a car?

Heading to Tacoma

We instantly headed for the Cullen's after the meeting. Direction were faulty, however, and we ended up at The Cheesecake Factory. Almost as good.

Tamale cakes. Honestly not as good as I wanted them to be. Should've gone for the usual avocado roll.

Sporing our gifits from Lisa Kendall (more to come on her). What a sweetHEART!

A Couple'a Things

1. I got glasses. Do I look like Tina Fey?

2. Is it terrible to go to the temple with a wrinkley temple dress? In my head, no...at least I was there.

3. I'm in Seattle and it's gosh-awful cold.

4. My sissy moved away to Israel with her new husband and I'm sad. She'll be safe, right? Reassure me people.

Lions, and Tigers, and Bears...Oh My! *cliche - gag*

I joined Whit, the boys, Mal and Lucy at the Bean Museum for one entertaining hour.

Huge fan of the stroller...for roughly 40 minutes

Jack performing his role as a "gentleman" in case Lucy was afraid of the animals. I got the idea from her "Hi, Animal" greeting to every beast, that she was not at all afraid.

Big into chewing and drooling

Couldn't leave without a picture of my favorite animal!
And now for the awesome pictures Mal took with her artisitc insight...enjoy

Family Valentine

Rather than fight the crowds Valentine's Day, the Cox family (minus Kris and Kecia, who were greatly missed!) gathered at Outback Monday night for great food and great conversation!

Tadd ordered a half caesar salad, what a girl.

Where are my manners?

Forgive me! I forgot to tell you my most recent news!

I've moved salons! I am now working at Metropolitan Salon on University Avenue and loving it! I especially enjoy the opportunity I have to further my education, both in occasional classes and learning from the other incredible stylists!

Next bit of news...I also received a promotion at work! I'm now a Regional Sales Manager over the Pacific North and Mountain West, sounds important eh?

Clocking out for the last time at Nu Skin. Or the last time forever? Let's hear it for salary!

Look Familiar?

Remember this gem? It arrived in the mail a mere week after my admiring post.

Don't YOU wish you had a mother like mine?

Thank you Mom! I.LOVE.YOU.

Please Pass the Divorce...

Awkward, right? Well to make things unawkward for dear friend Bree, a party was had. For exclusive details go here (rad blog, spend some time here).

Odd picture, no? Not if you particpated in the rip-roarin' scavenger hunt Whit and Lori created.

Karaoke at the Nelson's ended the night perfectly. 50 brownie points to the first person who can guess what song these two lovelies are singing.

P.S: I've discovered I'm a karaoke goddess.
