Stevie's Wonder

Steve (FIL) caught some great shots standing at the bottom of the hill, this first one was my favorite...

Madi and I were dubbed the daredevils, so all new tubings ideas were tested on us

Well...except for this one! Lacey, Tadd and I made a chain, and the best part is that we ended up slingshoting Lacey around from back to front!

Aw, gotta love Mazie!

Jack was being a little wuss after a ride or two down the hill, so Whit and I joined forces. I readied myself on a tube, and then she threw him on me and pushed me down! All was going well until 3 feet down the hill we hit an ice chunk and went flying! (Picture C). And I especially love the pic of Lacey having the time of her life!

Ava also had qualms with our sledding adventure, so Tysen threw her on Tadd without notice and sent her down the hill! They made it much further, and she laughed the whole way down! It wasn't until they stopped at the bottom that she started crying again!

And thus ends the sledding pictorals.
Until next time...

A Snowy New Year

New Years day back down at the Gladstan Golf Course with the Cox family!

The number of pictures I have is ridiculous, even a little embarrassing, but Whitney took so many fab photos, I couldn't resist!

My favorite photo

Spider! Memories of elementary school anyone?

After Madi and I crashed spider-sledding

Winter wonderland

Tadd and Lacey behind the 4-wheeler

Ava was not a fan of sledding after a minor crash

And...I have more photos to post later of my FIL's photography (whom you'll notice in the yellow coat capturing the family against the snowy mountain tops)! Oh well, my blog, my content! Deal with it.

Such a fun day, complete with great company!

Snow Day

What better day to go sledding with your family than Christmas?

The Gladstan Golf Course by my parent's home offers a slew of perfectly steep hills.

Let us thank Nick's mom for lending Mallory those amazing 80's throwback snow bibs, matching coat included.

Haley Marie took a time out and chilled with Jack, who became a little bit of a wuss after just a couple runs. Tisk, tisk.

What If...

...you were an inmate on death row, what would your last meal be?

I had this conversation with a friend at lunch today while at Bajio enjoying a kids quesidilla. Odd conversation, right? Well, Kristen dared to claim that Bajio's kids quesidilla with ranch, Mexican rice and black beans would be her last meal. WHOA, dream big.

If I were a dirty, rotten prisoner on death row, I think I'd request a five course meal beginning with Cheesecake Factory's Roasted Artichoke as my appetizer. My next course would be my Mom's Chicken Tamale Pie. At this point, I'd need a long Diet Coke break, assuming the prison guards are kind enough to allow it.

Ahhh, once I've quenched my thirst, I'd move onto a Cafe Rio Pork Salad, sans rice and beans. Wow, at this point I'll probably burst, so maybe the five course meal was a little too adventurous. Unless I think of another dish I MUST have, I'll move onto dessert.

For the last and final food I will ever taste (this is getting pretty morose) I would ask for Fried Ice Cream from Los Hermanos. Maybe two of them. With a cherry on top.

My last meal says a lot about how much I eat out...SAD. I need to change that. Whitney, a little help?

What would your last meal be?

Birdie

Tadd was practically as giddy as a school boy with anticipation. Neph-Jack loves "gloffing" so we only thought it fitting to give him his own set of golf clubs for Christmas!

All we wanted to see was that look of glee of his face, and we got exactly what we wanted.
