Family Pictures

My family got together in April to surprise my mom for her birthday. She was so thrilled! My dad took her to Ottavio's in American Fork, and all of her kids were waiting to surprise her. It was so fun! Here are some pictures from the surprise dinner!

Also, for my mom's birthday, we surprised with her scheduling Pete Stott to take family pictures up at the Nu Skin cabin! We hadn't had family pictures since before Whitney had baby Jack, and before Tadd and I got married. Here are a few of them...Pete did an awesome job!

Joint Birthday Dinner

Tadd's birthday is July 31st, and mine is August 13th, so we decided to do a joint birthday dinner at Magleby's. It was so yummy!

Like an idiot, I ordered King Crab. Little did I know that I wouldn't even have the faintest idea of how to eat it! Our waitress ended up bringing me an assortment of tools, which included scissors. That seemed to do the trick.

Birthday Festivities

August 13th was my birthday, and it was such a great day! You know how birthday's slowly get more and more insignificant each year...well this one blew me away! It was such a great birthday, and I truly enjoyed it!

We went out to my parents house on Sunday, the 12th to have dinner with the fam. My family surprised me with a cake and gifts! It was so fun, and such a blast!

A Regular Sunday Evening

My parents recently moved to Elk Ridge. Random, I know. Tadd and I try to get out there at least every Sunday, and then we rush home to see our neices and nephew!

Family Cabin

Tadd's grandparents own a cabin in Midway that the whole family shares. This last week was Tadd's parents turn at the cabin. Happy Birthday Tadd!

Tadd turns 27 on July 31st, and we had a joint party for him and his mom on Sunday. Camme's birthday is the 28th, so all the family gathered on Sunday to wish them both a Happy Birthday! The Wedding of Tadd and Caitlyn Cox

I know it's been 2 years since we got married, and I should be over the whole wedding picture thing, but....I'm not. So here's a little sneak peek at our wedding!

Pioneer Day...A Holiday?

So really, is pioneer day seriously considered a holiday? It seems like EVERY person I know didn't have to work today, but good ol' Nu Skin didn't give us the day off. I really can't complain though, they did send us to Harry Potter on the clock, and paid for our tickets! NSE rocks!

A little story...

A rather interesting thing happened on Friday, and I thought I'd share it with you! If you have a weak stomach, you may not want to read the following.

Friday began as a fairly normal day. Besides the fact that I got up at 6:15 to get ready and go to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (which, by the way, was a mad house). Well, I attended the sale, went home, get ready for work, and headed for the office. Lunch hour came around, and I headed off to Sensuous Sandwich with some coworkers, as I've done many times. I believe I ordered the Sensuous Sandwich (how originial). We ate lunch, and headed back to work.

Friday was one of those busy days, and I ran errands back and forth between a couple buildings. Now 4:30 rolls around, and I start feeling S-I-C-K. Like this weird nauseous feeling, and I'm all shaky and weak. Odd, right? Well, I thought so too. But I figured it would pass, so I went about my errands. I had to run to one of our corporate buildings, so I grabbed a friend to come with me and headed off. At this point, I was ready to hurl, but I was fighting it! I finished my errand, and dropped my friend, Ashley, back off at work.

Well, I head down Freedom Blvd on my way home, and immediately have to pull over. I'm leaning out my car at some random side road trying to throw up. You see, I'm trying to sell my car, so why would I want to throw up IN my car? Well, the urge to hurl passes, and I get back in my car and head home. Tadd and I have plans with an old friend of mine and her husband tonight, and we cancelled on them the previous week, so I would feel awful cancelling again! My mind is set that we ARE going with them.

Shannon, my friend, was getting off work from Banana Republic so we'd planned to meet her outside of Nordstrom while she waited for her husband to come get her from work. Tadd and I drove to Nordstrom to meet her, and all the way there I can't open my mouth for fear of throwing up. Tadd is, of course, laughing at me because I'm an idiot for not cancelling. Well, Tadd ends up calling Shannon to find out where to meet her and we pull up outside the south entrance of Nordstrom as she walks out and meets us there.

Shannon approaches our truck, with caution, and asks if I'm ok. I nod, and she starts to hand me a Banana Republic Friends and Family Day postcard, to make me feel better of course! Now, the next few details are a bit hazy, but I believe I yelled at her to move, hurriedly unbuckled my seatbelt, opened the door, stepped out and HURLED all over the sidewalk. And when I say, all over, I absolutely mean it. I won't go into the details of how my Sensuous sandwich chose to display itself outside of Nordstrom, but I will say it was terrible.

I am NEVER eating at Sensuous again, seeing as how the only explanation for my behavior was indeed, food poisoning!

It seems to me that blogging is a little contagious! My sister-in-law Kecia was the first to introduce me to it, and more of the family has just caught on since then! I'm excited to post some events from our life, and see more of my family's cute blogs!
