Update

Oh wait...I have nothing to update on.
My life is pretty dull.
Therefore, my blog has become dull.

However, I've received such great advice from my bloggerites (clever, eh?) thus far about garments, heartburn, and pregnancy acne, that I'm enlisting your help again.

What is your favorite carseat/stroller combo? Please advise!
for the record, I don't mind buying an only-infant carseat...whatever the correct term for that is....

(so sorry this has become somewhat of a baby blog, I vow to not allow this to continue)

Total liar. This is absolutely a baby blog. No, no--a MOMMY blog. Dig it.

I like that its a baby blog. Don't apologize for that!

So. We have the Peg Prego side impact car seat. It is the highest rated car seat in the industry which gives me peace of mind.

We also have the Peg stroller. It folds up fast and small leaving room to spare in our stupid tiny Jetta. If you like that style then talk to me, we are selling ours.

We have an eddie bauer travel system and we have LOVED it! It's not as expensive as some others but still really nice and it handles well.

We also really like our Chicco travel system (Key Fit 30). If you look online you can get it cheaper than at the stores round here. :)

I agree the Chicco travel system is awesome! Love the carseat....I also love the stroller because the carseat clicks into it, although the stroller is kinda bulky, other then that its awesome! check out this site they have awesome deals, and some of the items have videos of the product so you can see what it does...

With our first we bought an eddie bauer combo and we hated it! The stroller was big and bulky and the carseat was heavy!! With Boston we bought the Phil & Teds stroller and I love it!! Its a jogger stroller and you can attach a second seat when you have another one and it is awesome! It is more expensive but saves money in the long run cause you don't have to buy a double stroller, just have to buy the 2nd seat for like 50 bucks! You can hook any stroller into it you just get the right attachment.

Caitlyn, here's my two cents: So, I bought a Graco Car seat. #1) I wanted a gender neutral PLAIN color. Keep in mind, a red (gender neutral color) or any other COLOR may clash with blankets and outfits...lame reason, I know, but it bugged me. So, I looked for a light/dark grey car seat (goes with any color outfit and blanket, awesome!) and Graco had it. #2) I also went with Graco because my friend had the Chicco and was bugged because they don't fit in the kid part of the shopping carts. I know that's a lame reason, but I got the Graco and I LOVE that it fits in grocery carts...makes life easier so I don't have to put in IN the grocery cart. :) I know it's not super smart/safe but I'm being extra cautious. As for the stroller, I didn't get a "system" I bought a running stroller, the BOB Revolution...awesome stroller. And the car seat fits in it until he's big enough to sit in it alone. Good Luck! Let us know what you decide!

I have the Peg Prego side impact as well. I did tons of research and it is the BEST. Read the reviews online they will sell you on it. It is a little more expensive but i mean it is for the saftey of your baby. I i ahve to bugaboo stroller...pretty much amazing!

I have Chicco and I like how the stroller is pretty compact and light and the car seat is also one of the lightest out there, but I agree with Tara that it is a huge pain that the car seat doesn't fit in a grocery cart. I suggest that you find a system that it light and compact.

I agree with Haley - love my Chicco travel system too, hate that the car seat doesn't fit in the grocery cart perfectly, but I still love it enough to recommend it to anyone :-) Super light car seat - and the stroller is pretty great :-) Plus it wasn't way expensive.

Noticing everyone saying Chicco doesn't fit in the grocery cart. It actually does, but you have to put it on the other end of the cart, not the baby seat part. If you get it, I'll explain it better. But I promise it fits, just not at the normal place!

I love Graco and it fits in pretty much any stroller but I loved the travel system although now that I have two kids I did go out and get a double stroller but the Graco fits in it as well and it fits easily into any grocery cart..But I have a lot of friends who have chicco and love it as well..

oh and look at albeebaby.com they have the best prices on every kind of travel system and car seat alone.

Sorry, I know nothing about baby traveling devices.

But, if your life is feeling dull would you ever think of taking on a big thick curly challenge...aka my hair?

I haven't found anybody willing to be daring with it yet.

Care to take a chance? I'm in need of some serious change.

PS. Love your last baby post about the kicking.

We went with Graco because it seems to fit in so many more places and they have a really high safety rating and are affordable. So that is the combo we got but for umbrella strollers I totally dig my chicco. I love it compared to the 19.99 and even the Jeep ones. I LOVE it. I used it at all of Jeff's races where I'm dragging the kids along and it rocks my world.

I have the Chicco Cortina Travel System which I have really liked. True its big and doesn't fit in the front part of the grocery cart, but really I have heard too many horror stories of the car seat falling out when you hit a bump and your baby landing face down so I never would put my baby there anyway. I'm sure Graco is nice too but haven't tried it myself. Good luck!

We also have the chicco travel system. Expensive, but love it.

I would buy the peg-perego over and over again. Kind of exepensive, but worth every penny. The stroller is compact and light...you can even unfold it with one hand! And the best part is that it has held up perfectly with number two, washes well and still looks like new. Last, but not least, one of the safest out there.
